The leader in digital photography: Nikon D3100 – A Full Review

in Camera

This new model from camera moguls Nikon, the D3100 has been said to amaze it’s users with the defined picture quality. With the integration of a new format the digital camera can process great colors and gradients in order to make your picture turn out great. Plus, the ISO sits at 3200 but can be expanded to 12800 and that takes out that entire potential blurriness from a shaky camera.

The D3100 also comes well equipped with a guide mode which is perfect for new digital camera operators and to just get familiar with how the shooting operation works. The guide will not only show you how to use the shoot function but give you advice on how to really capture the best image you can. Plus, with the sample pictures they have on the guide mode you will have a visual example of how each shooting mode will display a photo.

However, taking a great photo is not all this Nikon model does. The video shooting is easy to operate and all of your movies will be in full 1080p HD! There are different lenses in places (NIKKOR) too so that you can shoot your movies at different angles to capture the scene in just the right way. Plus, since the camera itself has a 3 inch display built in it will be easy for you to know what exactly you are shooting at all times.

When it comes to getting your movies and photos off of your camera the process is made pretty easy too. You can either use an external SD card that plugs right into your laptop or the D3100 does has a high speed USB port so you can hook it straight up to a computer. This is not only a great feature for freelance photographers so they always have space for new photos, but even the average parent can take quite a bit of photos. The easier the transfer is the better the camera will sell because everyone likes simple.

So enough about the specs and features, what are the consumers saying about the new Nikon model? Overall the online reviews seem to be in favor of the D3100 and rate is very well. Things like photo quality, ease of use and the light weightiness are all things brought up as pros. However, just like any new electronic out there cons will be listed. While they are few and far between with this Nikon the one thing that runs common is the fact that the camera itself can be a bit noisy and sometimes runs slower than some of the competitor’s models.

If you are looking for a digital camera to get you started on taking higher quality photos then this may just be the model for you because the SLR series are always great cameras for beginners. Plus, with the affordability and nice packaging options it makes it great for people on all types of budgets.
